Looking for somewhere to rest your weary body after a long day panning for that huge gold nugget at Sovereign Hill?  Well look no further than the 4-star (self-rated) Comfort Inn Sovereign Hill, located minutes from all the Gold Rush action.

We were checked into the Sovereign Room which included a Queen Size bed plus a sofa bed, FREE WI-FI, flat screen TV and a en-suite bathroom.  The rooms have recently been refurbished and are wonderful to stay in.   These rooms a great for families as they have a little bit of extra room, which was fantastic for my daughter to run around in.  Also included in your accommodation rate is a FREE Continental Breakfast for two and unlimited free parking on site.

The Comfort Inn is only minutes from Sovereign Hill and is located through a room that you can access with your room key.  This makes it a great location if you have kids and need to head back to the room, to change, feed or have a nap.

The Continental Breakfast was held in the La Trobe Dining Room and was absolutely delicious and fresh.  We ate so much that we didn’t need lunch that day at all. Bonus!

Hot Tips

*Bring an esky of food and drinks and store it in your room.  At lunch time, come back to your room, collect your food and enjoy a picnic on the accommodation grounds and then head back into Sovereign Hill.

*If you have a big suitcase or a lot of luggage, ask for a room located on the first floor, otherwise you will be lugging it up the stairs.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the Comfort Inn Sovereign Hill and definitely recommend it if your visiting Sovereign Hill.
