The Ramada Hotel is located in Phillip Island and is roughly a 90 minute drive from Melbourne City.  The property currently hosts studio rooms and two and three bedroom cottages spread out over 65 acres of bushland.

THE ROOM

We stayed in a two bedroom cottage which was fully self-contained.  The main bedroom included a Queen Size bed and the second bedroom had two single beds.

The cottage also included a fully equipped kitchen and flat screen TV with select Foxtel channels.  It also contained a full laundry (which was fantastic to wash and dry all our clothes before we left) and ironing facilities.  The cottage was quite spacious and very clean.  I will say that the TV is quite small, but then again, who’s there to watch the TV anyways, oh yeah my husband with his sports.

The cottage also had a great little deck that we could sit outside and watch the sunset.  It was really beautiful.

THE FACILITIES

The facilities at the Ramada Hotel are just superb and really cater for families.  There is a children’s playground, two outdoor swimming pools and one children’s pool, an indoor lap pool and two tennis courts.

There are also two outdoor picnic barbeque areas, two health centres with gym, spa and sauna and seven kilometres of bicycle and walking trails.  If you have small children don’t forget to bring their bikes so they can ride around the property.

There is also a fantastic games room for the kids with a huge variety of games and electronics so don’t forget to bring your gold coins.  The Hotel also offers plenty of onsite parking.

DINING

We dinned in Numbers Restaurant Cafe and Bar for breakfast both mornings which hosted a full buffet breakfast.  We were spoilt with cereals and fresh fruits, juices, teas and coffees and selected hot foods which included bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, tomatoes and sausages.  There is also FREE Wi-Fi in the Café area too so you can upload your daily photographs and keep up to date on social media, OR you can just leave all your technologies in the room and enjoy a peaceful breakfast.

MY THOUGHTS

Overall we had a great time at the Ramada Hotel in Phillip Island.  I would highly recommend this property for families.  It caters for kids of all ages and is a great place for families and friends to get together.  I will be definitely coming back to this hotel in the near future.

PS. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for some wildlife around the property too.
