Antarctic Journey is the latest new attraction at the Nobbies Centre, Phillip Island and hosts a virtual journey from Phillip Island to Antarctica.  It’s a great place to learn and be educated with all the informative displays and interactive exhibits and it features animal life around Phillip Island, the Southern Ocean and Antarctica.  The journey is a partnership between Phillip Island Nature Parks and the WWF Australia.

The Antartic Journey comprises of three levels and my daughter’s favourite area was “The Lab”.  She really enjoyed the “Chill Zone” and had a great time trying to sink the bowling ball.  (sshhh she couldn’t do it.)

However, I think my favourite part of the day, without giving too much away, was being able to stand on the imaginary ice berg and feeling like you can reach out and touch the penguins, whales and seals thanks to the new cutting edge ‘augmented reality’ technology.  This experience is NOT to be missed.

OUR THOUGHTS

Overall we had a great time at Antarctic Journey.  It was great to learn so many new things and our daughter had a great time too.  I highly recommend this new attraction and you won’t be disappointed.
