As a guest staying at the Q1 Resort and Spa I thought it was a must to check out The SkyPoint Observation Deck located in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Australia.   Last year I had visited the Eureka Skydeck in Melbourne, so I thought it would be nice to see the difference between them both.

SkyPoint is located 230 metres in the sky and on the top of the Q1 Building located on Level 77.  It offers breath taking 360 degree views from the hinterlands to the beach.  I was told that SkyPoint has one of the world’s fastest elevators taking you to the deck in only 43 seconds.   The viewing deck is fully enclosed by floor to ceiling glass panels, featuring a glass ceiling around the Observation Deck.  It’s also Australia’s only beachside Observation Deck.

Why not grab yourself a cocktail at Seventy7 Café and Bar and sit back and relax and take in the spectacular views? Sounds like an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

MY OVERALL VERDICT

Overall I had a fantastic experience at The SkyPoint Observation Deck and I definitely recommend you take your family for a visit.  The views are just amazing.  I really can’t compare it to the Melbourne Eureka Skydeck because the views are completely different from each other. I will definitely be back for a night time visit as I would love to the see the high-rises in all their lights and glory.

I would like to thank The Skypoint Observation Deck for hosting my visit and as always, my opinion is definitely my own.
