“Fields of Fun”
27 days of Tulips
Tesselaar Tulip Festival
September 10 to October 6, 2015

The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is one of Victoria’s premier tourist attractions and is in its 62nd year. Each year the festival builds into a bigger and better event. In 2015 they have planted over 100,000 more Tulips, bringing their total to over 700,000 including over 120 different varieties.

This year, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival is really excited to be unveiling the world’s biggest clog! Yes that’s right the biggest wooden shoe in the world. Working in conjunction with internationally renowned chainsaw sculptor, Rob Bast, the huge clog will be over 4m long and almost 2m high. Visitors will be able to sit in the clog and have their photo taken.

The Tesselaar Tulip Festival has something for everyone, from children to grandparents and everyone in between. There is live daily entertainment, market stalls, and did we mention Tulips?! As well as seeing our huge display, visitors can wander amongst them and even pick their own to take home.

Set on 55 acres of working farmland, in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, the Tesselaar Tulip Festival is less than an hour’s drive from Melbourne. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around Australia and the world.

The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is open for four weeks, and offers themed days for a bit of extra fun. Themes include: Turkish weekend, Yarra Ranges week, Dutch weekend, Food, Wine & Jazz weekend, Irish weekend & Children’s weeks (during school holidays with super heroes The Avengers, and crazy characters The Minions). You can see a full list of events at our website.

I would love the beautiful opportunity to do some tip toeing of my own among the tulips rather than around my children.

While my kids are still little I would love to capture them inbetween the fields of fun and beautiful coloured tulips while enjoying the serenity and scenery and treasuring these magical moments! It would make for a fabulous family outing, so we would love to win tickets.

I would love to visit the tulip festival as I enjoy being a part of nature and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery. I've moved over from Perth earlier this year and would like to see how Perth's Araluen Botanic Park compares to Tesselaar Tulip Festival :)

I had brought Mum and I tickets to go to the Irish Themed weekend last year, we stayed in Belgrave for the weekend. Went and did the whole Puffing Billy experience on the Saturday and stupidly sat too close to the engine on the way back. So on the Sunday we had really bad sinus etc and didnt make it to the festival on the Sunday. We have never been, and I would so love to win these tickets to be able to finally take Mum to see the Tulips :-D
