I have always wanted to dine at Windows on the Bay and finally had the chance to on Saturday Night, three weeks back.  We were warmly welcomed by Line (the Restaurant and Function Manager) and kindly shown to our seats, which had the most beautiful view out to the Port Phillip Bay Foreshore.  Our table location was just perfect for watching the sunset.

I was very impressed that the General Manager Palle, was also the head chef and couldn’t wait to taste his meals.

What was on the menu for us?

 Stuffed Mushroom, baked goats cheese, basil pesto, beetroot jam & tapenade

Golden dusted salt & pepper Calamari, smoked paprika aioli & pickled fennel shavings

Roasted Salmon, avocado-blue eye relish, asparagus, beach bananas & lemongrass butter sauce

Crispy skinned twice cooked Duck leg, handmade large gnocchi, sautéed greens, golden sultanas & light herb jus

*

Armagnac Semifreddo: Crocante & honey

The meals were very well presented and the ingredients used were fresh and full of flavour.  Allow the team at Windows on the Bay to satisfy any craving with a wonderful variety of meals on offer.

My overall experience at Windows on the Bay was fantastic.  The staff was exceptional with their knowledge of food and drinks and they were very friendly and professional.  Windows on the Bay definitely produce high quality dishes that are bursting with flavour and I will absolutely be back for another meal here in the near future.

My Hot Tip for Windows on the Bay: Be prepared to pay for parking as there is no free parking available.
