For those who follow my blog, know that I absolutely love the Crown Promenade Hotel in Melbourne.  I have visited the hotel a number of times in the last 2 years and every time I visit, I know I will return again soon enough.

My readers often ask why do I keep coming back to the Crown Promenade?  Is it because of the great swimming pool? Is it because it’s conveniently located in the Southbank precinct and directly linked to the Crown Complex? Is it because it’s described as one of the premier luxury hotels in Melbourne?  Or is it because the staff are absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive to detail?

Umm, let me think about it for a while……..       All of the above!

A lot of my readers have read my reviews and absolutely love my photos on my website and on my social media accounts (thank you) and have requested to see a video of the hotel facilities.  All you have to do is ask, and I will deliver.

Please check out the links to my Facebook Account and Instagram Account to see the footage.  Don’t be shy to hit the like button or better yet, share it around with your friends and family.

THE ROOM

Our 34sq King standard room included a luxurious King Size bed, beautiful ottoman window seat located next to the floor to ceiling windows to take in the gorgeous views of Melbourne City and a flat screen TV with in room movies and cable channels.  The room also offered complimentary WIFI and ISD telephones with data-port which was great because I brought my phone cable but forgot the actual charger, so thankfully I could still use it.

The bathroom was just wonderful.  It had a huge over-sized shower and was stocked up with some great amenities.  Some of the other in room features included large desk area, tea and coffee facilities, heating and cooling and a fully stocked mini bar.

THE FACILITIES

The Deck leisure facilities were fantastic and very well maintained.  The large indoor infinity pool and spa were just amazing and the water temperature was warm considering it was so cold outside.

The view while in the pool was fantastic looking out onto the Casino area and was beautifully lit up in the evening. We finally had a chance to test out the gym equipment for the first time and it’s definitely a great set up.

MESH RESTAURANT

Breakfast was at Mesh Restaurant.  The extensive buffet breakfast was amazing and consisted of a variety of breakfast cereals, traditional eggs, bacon, sausages and mushrooms through to cold meats, cheese and fruit platters to the most amazing pastries. We headed straight to the chef to make us our traditional favorite egg omelets.  It’s the perfect way to start your day.

Hot Tips

*Visit the swimming pool just after you check in or first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds.

*If you having breakfast at Mesh, ask the chef to cook your eggs just how you like them.
