ACCOMMODATION

It was my birthday weekend and I was looking for somewhere luxurious to treat myself and only one place came to mind, The Crown Promenade in Melbourne.

Now most of you that follow me, know that I have been to this hotel a number of times recently, so this time I definitely needed to check out the one of the best rooms available, The Suite.

THE ROOM

The suite was absolutely huge. It is a generous 70 square metres and was located on level 22 of the hotel. The views over Melbourne were just breath taking and can be seen from the living room and from the separate King Master bedroom. (And yes we lay in bed for a while and was just mesmerised with the view). I really out did myself when I booked this room. (Note for future bookings, only book THE SUITE.)

Tea and coffee making facilities

Oversized gorgeous shower

Desk, lamp and 2 VoIP phones

High speed wireless internet

Bathroom as big as my master bedroom

THE FACILITIES

The Deck leisure facilities were fantastic and very well maintained. The large indoor infinity pool and spa were just amazing and the water temperature was warm considering it was so cold outside.

The view while in the pool was fantastic looking out onto the Casino area and was beautifully lit up in the evening. This time, as it was my birthday weekend, I decided it wasn’t necessary to visit the gym, however the set-up is still top of the range.

MESH RESTAURANT

Breakfast was at our favourite Mesh Restaurant. The extensive buffet breakfast was amazing and consisted of a variety of breakfast cereals, traditional eggs, bacon, sausages and mushrooms through to cold meats, cheese and fruit platters to the most amazing pastries and yoghurts. Routine for us is to head straight to the chef to make us our traditional favorite egg omelets. It’s the perfect way to start your day.

HOT TIPS

Crown Promenade now offer complimentary Wi-Fi, ideal for general internet browsing, and checking emails. A premium service is available for $15.95 per day.

MY THOUGHTS

Our overall stay at the Crown Promenade was fantastic and very memorable. The room was absolutely divine and we spent most of our time there. The service was amazing and the facilities were none the less.

The hotel was very busy as it was school holidays, but that didn’t bother us as our daughter was with us too. The swimming pool was also very busy around 6pm, but again understandable with school holidays. We went for a morning swim the following morning and the pool was just about empty. It was great.

Crown Promenade Melbourne, you out did yourself again, and I will return again very soon.
