I hadn’t really heard much about the Dandenong Festival of Lights so I decided to take my daughter and see what it was all about and I’m really glad I did.  The Festival is on from the 11^th September through to 18^th October 2015 and is open from 6pm to 10pm daily and is held at the Dandenong Show Grounds.

The Dandenong Festival of Lights celebrates Chinese culture through a wonderful display of hundreds of unique silk light displays.  The display features Chinese Zodiacs, dinosaurs, animals, flowers, insects and many more.  There is also nightly stage performances, food vans and a couple of carnival rides.

I definitely recommend an outing to see the Dandenong Festival of Lights and it will definitely be a hit for the kids, photography lovers, light enthusiasts, and lovers of Chinese Culture.

Hot Tips: 

** Be sure to rug up as it’s very cold and the Festival is out in the open.

** There are some pathways around the displays but most of them are on the grass and its wet and abit muddy, so be prepared.

** There are food vans there, but I would suggest if your staying for a while, pack your own food and drinks.
