I hadn’t really heard much about the Dandenong Festival of Lights so I decided to take my daughter and see what it was all about and I’m really glad I did.  The Festival is on from the 11th September through to 18th October 2015 and is open from 6pm to 10pm daily and is held at the Dandenong Show Grounds.

The Dandenong Festival of Lights celebrates Chinese culture through a wonderful display of hundreds of unique silk light displays.  The display features Chinese Zodiacs, dinosaurs, animals, flowers, insects and many more.  There is also nightly stage performances, food vans and a couple of carnival rides.

I definitely recommend an outing to see the Dandenong Festival of Lights and it will definitely be a hit for the kids, photography lovers, light enthusiasts, and lovers of Chinese Culture.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the Event.

Adult $20.00

Concession $17.00

Child $12.00

Family $55.00

Hot Tips:

** Be sure to rug up as it’s very cold and the Festival is out in the open.

** There are some pathways around the displays but most of them are on the grass and its wet and abit muddy, so be prepared.

** There are food vans there, but I would suggest if your staying for a while, pack your own food and drinks.

I would like to thank The Dandenong Festival of Lights for hosting my experience and as always I would never endorse or recommend a service or product that I didn’t honestly enjoy!
