I had never heard of Tropical Fruit World before I visited and was really excited to see what it was all about.

Tropical Fruit World is an amazing tourist attraction and commercial farming operation distributing quality tropical fruit produce to interstate markets across the country.  Avocados, sapotes, annonas, bananas carambola and pitaya are among these crops.  Tropical Fruit World is open every day except Christmas Day.

The best way to see the whole park is to buy a single park tour ticket.  The ticket entitles you to a Fruit Tasting session, Plantation Safari, Wildlife Boat Cruise, Miniature Train Ride, Fauna Park and access to the Island recreation area including picnic areas, mini golf, sporting equipment and games.

FRUIT TASTING SESSION

Held in a classroom like room, be educated on all things fruit.  Learn about the uses and origins, health benefits and of course an opportunity to taste a large variety of different tropical fruits.

PLANTATION SAFARI

Jump on the Tractor Train for a guided tour around the plantation where there are over 500 varieties of fruit grown.  With an experienced tour guide, you are sure to learn some interesting facts about fruit and their growth.  You will have the opportunity to touch, taste and see fruits from all around the world.

WILDLIFE BOAT CRUISE

Climb aboard the “MV Waterdragon” for a cruise around the waterway.  Be on the lookout for any wildlife and you will get the chance to feed the ducks, geese and swamp hens.

MINIATURE TRAIN RIDE

All aboard the miniature train.  Fun for adults and children as it journeys around the island reserve.

FAUNA PARK

Want to get up close and personal with some Aussie animals?  Then grab a bag of food (for only $1.00) and wonder around and feed some family friends including Sherman the Clydesdale horse, chickens, goats, donkeys, guinea pigs, sheep, emus and wallabies.

TREASURE ISLAND

Wonder over to Treasure Island and enjoy some time out in the recreation area and playground.  Have a game of mini golf, fly the flying fox or enjoy some of the sporting games and equipment.

HOT TIPS

** Wear comfortable shoes as the pathways are uneven in some spots.

** If you require a stroller please bring your own as they do not hire them out.

** Don’t forget to bring your camera for some great photo opportunities.

** Bring some coins with you to buy the animal food.

Overall, we had a fantastic time at Tropical Fruit World.  I highly recommend this attraction to visit as it’s very educational for adults and children and lots of fun at the same time.

Thank you so much for visiting us, Christine! We love to hear stories enjoying the farm - it's why we opened the gates to the public more than 30 years ago! Great explanation and pics.
