Are you looking for a unique dining experience at a beautiful location? Then Rock Bar Bali should be on high up on your list.  Rock Bar Bali is located on the stunning grounds of Ayana Resort and Spa which is roughly a 25-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.

The Bar is widely respected as one of the world’s most popular sunset, cocktail and entertainment venues and showcases views above the Indian Ocean accessible via Ayana’s cliff side inclinator.  With much hype about this place, we definitely decided that a visit was on the agenda.

Rock Bar Bali is open for sunset and dinner from 4.00pm to midnight Sunday to Thursday and to1.00am on Friday and Saturday and unless you’re a guest staying at Ayana, you might not be able to get in.  We highly suggest that you arrive strictly at 4.00pm (when it opens) as guests of the hotel get first priority.

Once we were checked by security, we made our way to the inclinator and WOW, what a trip down it was.  The views of the venue are just incredible and the photos don’t do it justice.

Smart Attire for dress code is required at all times and they do not allow singlets, board shorts and alcohol branded attire.  They are very strict on dress code, so please obey the guidelines or you may be refused entry.  Backpacks are also not allowed at Rock Bar, so we had to check ours in at the hotel lobby, so if you want to bring your camera, don’t pack it in a backpack.

“The bar’s innovative, minimalist design by Yasuhiro Koichi of Japan’s Design Studio SPIN exploits the natural formation and character of the rock on which the bar sits, 14 meters above the ocean at the base of AYANA’s towering cliffs. The bar itself was created by Japanese glass artist Seiki Torige using thousands of layers of recycled glass canes.”

The day we were there, unfortunately was so overcast and cloudy and we didn’t get to see the spectacular sunset that everyone highly talks about, but we were still excited to have an amazing experience at such a lavish venue.  It’s honestly one that we will never forget.

Some of the dishes that we tried were the Chicken Popcorn, Feta Saganaki, Chicken and Potatoes Samosa, Orient Baked Chicken Wings and Crispy Calamari.  Please be aware that drinks are quite pricey here.  We tried a couple of different cocktails and beers which were pretty good.

Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at Rock Bar Bali and we highly recommend this venue to all our viewers.  If you get the chance to visit, please comment below that you did and let me know your thoughts about it.  I would love to hear about it.
