Run down. YES. Tired. YES, YES. Exhausted. OMG, ABSOLUTELY. In my case it’s just the everyday feelings of a full time working mother.
An afternoon at the Peninsula Hot Springs is just what the doctor ordered, well not actually, but I’m pretty sure that if I told him my symptoms, he would say rest and relaxation is in order. So off to the Hot Springs I ventured for some “ME” time.
The Peninsula Hot Springs is just under a two hour drive south of Melbourne City (depending on traffic) and it’s the first natural Hot Springs and Day Spa centre in Victoria, Australia.
The Hot Springs facilities offers mineral baths, private pools, a cave pool, a sauna, reflexology walk, cold plunge pools, day spa and a Turkish Steam room.
There are a lot of different bathing options available at the Hot Springs and the packages seem to be endless, but don’t worry if you get confused looking at the menu (because I did too) just give the friendly staff a call and tell them what you are interested in and they will advise you what the best package for your needs are.
I opted for the Pizza and Bathe package. This includes bathing in the Bath House and a gourmet pizza of your choice from their selection. This package is available daily from 10.00am to 6.00pm and costs $45.00 per person off-peak or $60.00 per person peak. And for those asking the question, “How many slices are included in this package?” The answer is, a full pizza (8 slices). Delicious.
The change rooms were in impeccable condition and you can hire a locker to store all your belongings in for $5.00. You can also hire a towel for $5.00 or bring your own. If you are looking to hire a robe, it will set you back $10.00. Just check out what package you have selected as some of them already include locker hire, towel and robe.

** Visit the Hot Springs during the week as Spa treatments can book out weeks in advance and the centre is less crowded.

** You can bring your own towel/robe to save you from hiring one.
** Make sure you visit the hilltop pool as it’s the highest one with scenic views.
** There is a picnic area located on the premises and it’s a great way to relax and enjoy some snacks and drinks.
MY THOUGHTS
I had an amazing afternoon at the Peninsula Hot Springs and truly felt relaxed and rejuvenated. My favourite place was at the hilltop pool as the 360 degree views over the Mornington Peninsula were simply just beautiful.
For a short moment, I definitely did forget about all the work and home stresses and just enjoyed the pure beauty that the Peninsula Hot Springs has to offer. It’s amazing to disconnect from technology and the world for a little while to rejuvenate the body and mind.
I would like to thank the Peninsula Hot Springs for hosting my visit and as always, I would never endorse or recommend a service or product that I didn’t honestly enjoy!
