Over the weekend, I had an amazing experience with my daughter at her first ever High Tea. And before you jump in and say “She’s only three” it was a Disney Frozen High Tea (makes sense now right?) at the Sofitel Melbourne On Collins.
We were there to experience a themed buffet High Tea with music, film footage and activities including the Frozen snow pit, karaoke, craft as well as group sing-a-longs to the film’s signature songs. The ballroom was set up magically and it definitely had that wow factor when you walked in. My daughter was just in awe of everything and didn’t know where to start.
We set down at our table, but didn’t really eat too much to begin with, but why would we when there was face painting, drawing, a craft station, a snow pit and a beautifully decorated stage to dance and take photos on.
After trying out all of the “FUN” stations, we finally set down to have something to eat. The food was great, it was completely “FROZENED” (is that a word) over. The Olaf cupcakes were a great hit with all the kids, and there were a few that just landed on the floor. Okay, quite a few, ha ha, kids…… Hmmm.
I think the sing-a-long was the hit of the day with all the little Elsa’s and Anna’s up at the stage singing their little hearts out. It was really cute to see. The only one suggestion that I could have made to make my daughters experience better was to have live characters there. She kept asking me when they were appearing and I told her that they were all in Disneyland. America here we come………
