I was exceptionally excited when I was welcomed back to The Crown Promenade in Melbourne over the weekend to experience an upgrade to a Studio Room after completing my last review on a King Standard Room.

The expectations were already quite high as I had an amazing time on my last visit.  I was so excited to share this experience with my husband and my daughter, that I already had our bags packed a couple of days prior.  Yes a bit lame, I know.

As we drove into Valet Parking, the service was handled quickly and efficiently.  After handing over our car keys we wondered through to the check in counter and the staff were very competent, fast and polite.  I was looking for something to fault, but all honestly so far there was nothing.

We got out of the lift on Level 23 (the Top Floor) and started walking down the hallway (okay maybe I was skipping a little and my daughter was running and banging on all the doors) with anticipation to see what room it was going to be.  It was the very last room at the end of the hallway.  I took a deep breath when I put the key card in and as I took my first step into the room, I was truly taken back.

The Studio Room is a stunning 51 square metre room overlooking the beautiful picturesque Melbourne.  And what a gorgeous day we checked in.  The weather was just perfect.   The sun was shining through the entire room.  The floor to ceiling windows offers a spectacular 180 degree view of the city.

Our studio room included a divine and luxurious King Size bed, beautiful Moran sofa, a 42 inch flat screen TV with in room movies and cable television channels.  The bathroom was just wonderful.  It had a huge over-sized shower and the view whilst sitting on the toilet, definitely worth a million dollars.

This is the amazing view from the toilet.

The hotel staff kindly brought up some sparkling wine on ice which we definitely cheered to a fabulous evening.  The port a cot was also brought up to our room a little while after with a baby bath and baby amenities including baby powder, lotion and soap.  Again, very thoughtful.

Last time when we visited, the swimming pool was very crowded.  So this time we decided to go down a little later around 6pm (as we thought most people will be getting ready to head out for the evening) and we were right.  There was only one group of Ladies lounging in the spa and the pool was completely empty.  It was the best time to visit and enjoy the infinity edge pool all to ourselves.

Breakfast the following morning was at Mesh Restaurant.  What a great way to start a Sunday morning then with a scrumptious buffet breakfast.  There was a vast variety of options available including Continental Breakfast and American Breakfast all to keep the taste buds satisfied. As checkout wasn’t until 11am, it gave us an hour after breakfast was finished to head back to our room to pack up our belongings.

The only one fault that I would have to say in my whole experience at The Crown Promenade would have to be is the bar fridge.  It was very well stocked which is what you would expect, but having a small child, I needed some room in the fridge for her milk and food.  After taking all the drinks and snacks out, there still wasn’t much room in the fridge for this.  With such an amazing stylish room, I wonder if it’s something that other guests feel the same about or maybe it’s just me.

My overall stay was absolutely fantastic and definitely exceeded my last stay.  There’s only one higher room at The Crown Promenade that I would love to try and experience which is The Suite.  So watch this space in the near future.

I absolutely recommend this hotel for families and for couples and can’t wait to return for another memorable stay.  I found The Crown Promenade in Melbourne to be immaculately clean and the staff is willing to go the extra mile to help you in any way to make your stay more enjoyable.

I would like to thank The Crown Promenade for allowing me to share this wonderful experience with you all and as always my opinion is definitely my own.
