The Mandarin Oriental Singapore is located approximately 25 minutes from Changi International Airport and is described as one of the best 5-star Marina Bay Singapore hotels with a central location close to the dining and entertainment district.  The Five Star Hotel which is shaped like their iconic fan is conveniently located on the edge of Marina Bay and offers stunning, unrestricted view across the bay.

The hotel hosts 468 rooms, 59 luxurious suites, along with 7 restaurants and bars.  The Helix Bridge is right outside the front of the hotel and makes for a beautiful stroll especially at night.

THE ROOM

We were lucky enough to stay in an 84sqm City Suite.  The luxurious suite features a spacious living and study area with a sofa and separate bedroom.  The enormous bathroom was fitted with a standalone bath and walk in shower.  There is also a separate powder room.

The King Size bed was just beautiful and we had a wonderful night sleep here.  This room certainly makes you feel at home. The room is also filled with complimentary little luxuries that make all the difference, including fresh flowers, robes and slippers. They even had little robes and slippers for my daughter in her size and she felt so special.

Room Facilities:

  • Bath and walk-in shower
  • Goose down bedding
  • High quality audio system
  • High speed WiFi
  • Interactive entertainment
  • iPod docking system
  • Large work desk
  • Plush terry bathrobes
  • Superb LCD televisions
  • Twice daily housekeeping

DINING

The hotel hosts several bars and restaurants with Melt Café being the Mandarin Oriental house restaurant where breakfast is served

Melt Cafe

Melt Café is a sophisticated all-day-dining experience.  The restaurant presents guests with contemporary and stylish interiors, where a delightful patisserie counter takes centre stage.

Known for its extensive buffet presentations, the restaurant has a variety of stations to tempt diners. We dined here daily for breakfast and we must say that it was one of the best that we had in a while.  The selection was incredible.  The pastries were delicious, and we ate more then necessary.  They also had a great selection of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruits, cereals and fresh juices and tea and coffee.
