Banjo Patterson Park is located in the South East Suburb of Lynbrook about 50 minutes south eastfrom Melbourne City.

We have been looking around for a good park for a while now that has a great playground suitable for our daughter and that also has BBQ facilities.  The park has a large wooden adventure playground that is suitable for kids of all ages.  It has 2 big metal wave slides and a couple other smaller slides.  It has also chain climbing nets, rope climbing frame, swings, see-saw, fireman’s pole and a large sandpit.

The BBQ facilities are very clean with one BBQ which has two cooking plates.  The BBQS are free.  There is also a large undercover area which has 4 sets of tables and chairs.  There area also plenty of rubbish bins too so you don’t need to take home your rubbish. A great location for a birthday party.

The Shelter Area leads out onto a deck which joins the lake.  The lake is filled with ducks and pelicans and is a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy or feed the ducks.  There is also a basketball court which is great for the bigger kids too.

The toilet facilities are reasonably clean compared to most parks we have been too.  They look pretty new, but I would always suggest bringing your own toilet paper and wipes.

Overall I think this park is a great spot to head down too for a picnic, a play in the park or a wonder around the lake.

Banjo Paterson Park, Paterson Drive, Lynbrook.
