Rye is a little seaside resort town approximately 83 km south of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on the Mornington Peninsula.  Rye Pier is a popular spot to go fishing and a wonderful place to take a walk.  The Pier is opposite Napier Street in the shopping precinct on Point Nepean Road.

The beach is absolutely beautiful and was crystal blue when we visited over the weekend.  If you have small kids, there is a fantastic playground just next to the Pier that the kids will enjoy for hours.

Take a short stroll over to the shops to enjoy an ice-cream at one of the many ice-cream shops.  We did at Cold Rock. Yum.

Rye is a beautiful spot to head down to for the day or enjoy it at a leisurely pace and stay for the weekend.
